WOW

It took two days but Daniel Nestor is into the doubles semifinals at Wimbledon.

The Toronto left-hander advanced after he and partner Mark Knowles defeated Simon Aspelin of Sweden and Todd Perry of Australia 5-7, 6-3, 6-7 (5), 6-3, 23-21 in a six-hour nine-minute marathon quarter-final Wednesday.

The match started Tuesday but was halted due to darkness with the fifth set tied 11-11.

Nestor and Knowles are seeded third in the tournament. Perry and Aspelin are the No. 8 seeds.

The fifth set alone lasted 3:13. Nestor and Knowles had 28 aces compared to just five for their rivals, but were hurt by 16 double faults and 45 unforced errors. In comparison, Aspelin and Perry double faulted just once and made only 24 unforced errors.

Things won't get any easier for them in the semifinals, American brothers Bob and Mike Bryan, the top seeds, await.

Nestor and Knowles have two Grand Slam titles to their credit but have never finished better than second at Wimbledon, losing in the 2002 final. It's the fourth time they've reached the semifinals at Wimbledon.

The Borat movie trailer is now online. So good.
